One of our most popular bundles is the MTN Zone Bundle, which offers our customers the ability to make calls at highly discounted rates based on their location and the time of day. In this comprehensive guide, we will walk you through the process of activating the MTN Zone Bundle in Ghana, step-by-step.

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility To be eligible for the MTN Zone Bundle, you must have an active MTN SIM card that is registered in your name. Additionally, you must have a minimum balance of GHC 1.00 in your account. To confirm your eligibility, you can dial *135# and select option 1.

Step 2: Dial the Activation Code Once you have confirmed your eligibility, dial 1351# to activate the MTN Zone Bundle. Alternatively, you can activate the bundle by sending a text message with the keyword “ZONE” to the short code 1355.

Step 3: Choose Your Zone After dialing the activation code or sending the text message, you will receive a message asking you to choose your preferred zone. This is where you select the geographical area where you will be making most of your calls from. There are four different zones to choose from, each with its own discounted rate. The zones are as follows:

  • Zone 1: Greater Accra, Tema, Kasoa, and Akosombo
  • Zone 2: Eastern Region, Volta Region, Central Region, and parts of the Ashanti Region
  • Zone 3: Western Region, Brong Ahafo Region, and parts of the Ashanti Region

The rates are calculated based on the time of day and the location of the caller and the recipient. The rates can be as low as 1 pesewa per minute during off-peak hours in certain zones.

Step 5: Check Your Balance and Status To check your bundle balance and status, dial 1352#. This will give you information on your current bundle balance, the expiry date, and the current discounted rate for your zone.
